the goalie is ty conklin, not a bad goalie, better than league avg backup. cam ward stood on his head in the third tonight. personally id say conklin made a not so good play but smith the oils captain fanned on it, hard to blame one guy when two guys effed it up. but great hustle and forechecking by brind'amour as he shoveled it home for his second goal. a situation where a guy playing his ass off forces two guys to make a quicker than expected play forces a giveaway and buries the stash. also good to see ray whitney with two goals

Go Canes!

It looks like Edmonton is back to using the trap that worked so well on the Wings in the opening round. I want the Canes to pull it out, but I'm not very confident that they'll get the job done. Carolina couldn't hold the puck in the zone, and even when they did the Oilers kept everything out of the center of the ice. I was very impressed.

That was total domination. I do not see how Carolina is going to re-bound. I think that Edmonton has the formula, beat the snot out of them. The Carolina speed guys are too small to be a part of the game.

Chris Pronger is the difference maker.

They only really threw in the trap in the third period. Before that, it was good action going both ways.

Did I hear UM's name come out last night?

What a great game. Hats off to Carolina for making a huge comeback to win game 7.

Hockey is back. I was worried that it was going to be relegated to a third tier sport, but with the cap in place, and ESPN picking up the games next year Hockey will be back in a big way.

I was not sure about the rule changes but I like them. It opens up the game and lets the skaters do their thing.

Great series and great Hockey. Love it.
