I think that Mullens will leave but think that he will be better served if you would stay another year. I believe that Turner and Buford will both return based somewhat on the article and statements in the Dispatch today. I did not include Titus in my poll because I do not think there's any chance he will stay for another year. We were lucky to keep him for this year:biggrin2:

All 3 of these guys had a good game against us at your place. After that game I especially thought Turner looked like an NBA talent. From what I'm hearing Mullens will probably declare but he could benefit from one more year of college ball. Buford should probably stay but who knows he might pull a Daequan Cook.

I put "yes" on all 3.

1) They are first round talents. I don't have any doubts about that. Will they succeed? Maybe, maybe not. But they would all go in the first and a first-round NBA contract is uh, pretty good (I've seen 900k+ for last pick in the first round).

2) Reverse jinx. :wink2:

If there is one thing I have learned about players leaving early, it's that you can't pay attention to any articles saying they are coming back unless they are from about a day or two before the decision deadline. Seriously, it seems like the Dispatch has reported Greg Oden thinking about taking a redshirt back in 06, Beanie Wells/Antonio Pitman wanting to come back and win the Heisman, and so on.
And I'm not dogging on the Dispatch or any news outsource for that matter, but until decision day, I usually assume anyone with talent to go pro, leaves. That way, it's a win win for me. If they come back, it's great for me to get to see _____(insert player here) for one more year. If they go, then I can never blame a person for following their dreams.
With regards to ET, WB, and BJ, my guess is we will see 2 of them leave and 1 of them being BJ. If I was in any of their shoes and I was hearing first round, I'd leave. Nothing like being guaranteed a million bucks to a poor college kid...

I actually think Turner might be the only one to leave, but I wouldn't even put the odds on him leaving above 50 percent.

I think for sure Buford returns and the Mullens likely returns(this will be especially true when he realizes how much scouts have soured on him since he hasn't shown a lot this year).

Turner still needs to improve his handle A LOT to be an NBA player, and I also think he has to answer what position he'll play, the two or the three. He might not be big enough for the three right now but his shot and handle might not be good enough to play the two at the pro level.

I think Turner ends up being a poor man's Danny Granger at the pro level eventually, but he needs serious work on a few aspects of his offense.

Chad Ford on ESPN.com reported that in a few of his columns. He'd still be a lottery pick based on potential, but he's definitely slipping down draft boards and probably isn't a top five pick, let alone a potential number one pick like he was thought of being before the season started.

Your first problem is taking anything from ESPN as expert information. But on a more serious note, I too think BJ could improve his stock by coming back, but from what, the 6th pick to the 1st or 2nd pick? Seems like an easy decision for me, take the money and run.

I'd take anything that a player says to the papers with a grain of salt (see: Beanie saying he was for sure coming back for a 4th year). So, who really knows until the season is over? Everyone seems to be sure that BJ is leaving, which is probably what will happen. I'll try to be optimistic about ET and Buford coming back, but a lot can change in the remaining 2 months.

Must agree with this comment.
In fact from the dictionary "Experts" as conflicted by ESPN deficiency factors and spelled phonetically.
"ex" (def.) "has been"
"spurt" (def.) "little drip under pressure."

There are much more credible and valuable sources of draft assessment than the ex spurt analysis from ESPN information.:tongue2:
