Play Action Passing Game?

Does anyone ever ponder where the play action pass (from under center or shotgun formation) went in the offensive system?

I don't know if I have ever seen an offense neglect quarteback ball-handling skills like the current one.

Am I missing something or is there a good reason for it?

The thing is, the same formations with all of the weapons can be run from under center...no problem.

Personally, I thought TS's timing was way off saturday. Maybe some time under center with the important timing drop steps would help him get that mental clock back.

Playaction is successful when you have a strong running attack...not sure we can say that so far. Maybe because of lack of attempts...but still, not strong enough to make a safety start worrying about filling running lanes.

Love the insight Grad. I think this is spot on.

As for Smith being rusty I think we start to see the timing and execution this week.
