Not overpaying for an aging veteran who has high risk-to-reward potential.

Yes, typical Steelers.

Agreed. I can't think of too many times where this strategy has really hurt them. I'm anxious to see how Kemoeatu does filling in for Faneca.

The only cases that come immediately to mind are Rod Woodson and to a lesser degree, Carnell Lake. I suppose you could make a case for Plax, but if they would've kept him, they never would've drafted Santonio.....

Mendenhall gets gripping lessons - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

Mendenhall gets gripping lessons
By Mike Prisuta
TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Rashard Mendenhall is having a ball this week on the South Side, but it's costing him.

"I'm losing a little bit of money right now," the Steelers' No. 1 pick acknowledged on Monday afternoon.

The hope is that, in the process, Mendenhall will learn a lot more about ball security, specifically the value of it at the NFL level.

Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward figured a little education was necessary after Mendenhall lost a pair of fumbles in the Steelers' 12-10 preseason victory over Minnesota on Saturday night.

Mendenhall arrived at the Steelers' South Side practice facility on Monday morning to find the following message scribbled onto the grease board in the locker room: "Take Mendenhall's ball away and get $100 from him. And you get an extra $500 if you bring it to the RB's meeting room."

What a splendid contribution you've made to this site :roll2:

By the way, do you swear at Mike Brewster and tell him to go back home when you see him at OSU? How about Glendale buckeyes during bowl trips, if they cheer for the cardinals?

Probably one of the dumbest posts in the history of posts.

Didn't realize I had to like the state's teams to be a true fan. I guess I'll stop rooting for non-Ohio Buckeyes, since they aren't true Buckeyes.

And I didn't realize that when I moved across state lines that I had to stop rooting for the Bucks. I'll tell you what, go ahead and post your name, mailing address and email address and I'll sent you all my Buckeye related stuff since I'm obviously not a true fan. I promise you'll have my stuff by the Ohio game.
