Pittsburgh Steelers (official thread)

Pittsburgh's offensive line struggled to protect Ben last year and they look worse this year, without Faneca. They better address it before they get their franchise quarterback killed out there. The Eagles had no sacks against Dallas, yet they got nine today.

six fucking sacks in the 2nd quarter, this line is an embarrassment.

Drafting the best available athlete regardless of position is a fine strategy when you have a team with no glaring weakness. Not sure how the FO thought an already suspect O-line was going to be okay after you lose your best lineman to free agency.

Most quarterbacks are lucky to make it through a season healthy. Ben will be lucky to make it through another game with piss poor performances like the one he had to endure yesterday.

Leftwich should have been put in sooner,I think he might have done something there!

:slappy:

Leftwich has a cannon for an arm but he's very inaccurate and he'd be killed behind our line. The only reason he looked halfway decent at the end of the game is the Eagles called off the dogs.

From watching the game, I thought Ben took lots of unneccasry sacks. He holds onto the ball forever. If nobody is open throw it away....but he hangs in the pocket and eats turf entirely too much. At least last night, I didn't see the Philly game.

He absolutely holds the ball too long but that wasn't the problem against the Eagles. Saying he had no time is an understatement.

Anxious to see what Stapleton can do in Simmons' place. Maybe they move Colon inside and play Starks at RT. They should get something out of all that fuckin' money they are paying him.

Yup, that's Ben's biggest problem (aside from going to Miami OH).
