healthy malkin is important for the stretch run and playoffs. remember sid, more important to let it heal properly. the pens can make the push from anywhere with their 3 pivots. (and great play from maf)

Oh definitely. I just wanted to see one of my favorite players in person.

No Gonchar, no Malkin, Fleury getting the night off, down 3-1 in the 3rd on the road...no problem.

Penguins 4
Blue Jackets 3
OT-final

Would've been nice if they would have played all game like they did for the last 5 minutes of regulation, but hey, it was a great game. Crosby and Kunitz were awesome together tonight, and I love Alex Goligoski.

I know the Pens are down a few guys but Minnesota was winless in 8 road games before tonight, the Pens outshot them 35-15, yet the Wild won it, 2-1.

Just a bad loss. :shake:

Some observations that I've seen lately.

Sid seems to be missing something. I don't know what it is. He's putting up points, but he seems a little off. Maybe it's because of...

Bill Guerin. He looks bad. Nothing else to say here.

Kris Letang is regressing.

Pretty much everything else is good though, aside from injuries. Kunitz is warming up. Can't wait for Malkin to get back so we can have our depth back. It's crazy how much the team changes when one player is out. I guess it's not when you think about how good that player really is.

Goligoski = awesome. I love his game. He has such good instincts in the offensive zone, and being paired with McKee is a perfect match.

Dupuis has really impressed me lately, too. Playing hard and winning his battles.

I think Kennedy is the best winger on the team.

They need to not lose in blowout form next game, though. The Kings dominated the third period last game in a way that I've not seen the Pens be dominated since Bylsma took over, and they're down 4-0 to the Sharks right now.
