He cried more about the chop block than the fumble...was kinda suprised by that

How [censored]ing awesome is it that a week after Brown bitched his ass off about Navy's blocking, ND loses a game due, in large part, to a chop block one of their guys perpetrated?

I feel like we just got jobbed by the Big East refs, wow...that call was pretty bad. Let them play, that was inconclusive evidence to overturn a call?

In any case, this is good news for those that want Charlie out. Dunno what happened the last two games, but his offense has sputtered out and refuses to show up until the 4th quarter. He threw all those screens and ran the draws first half, the screens definitly didn't do anything for him. Then he goes back to it in the 3rd quarter.

This guy falls apart in November. The way he's handled the last two games, no way he takes Stanford and he can probably lose to Conneticut. While the last 3 coaches have been very different from one another, their final records all look identical. I think it's going to take a real good coach to come in and turn that around. Maybe Kelly can do it, dunno.

Ultimately I think whoever comes in needs to change things up front, the offensive and defensive lines need to be better. Theres other problems, but they need to correct those two first. I was pretty impressed with the offensive and defensive lines from Pitt through most of the game.

Chop block was the right call, and rather funny after bitching about it from Navy. It was not a fumble, but it was still 4th and 16. The refs gave you one game (Washington) and a big, big maybe cost you one. You are ahead of the game with the refs.

Personally, I don't really care if the guy gets fired or not, on one hand, I have supported teams that have gone a long time without success, and with that I can sympathize, however, he's not a coach of any of my teams, for that I am thankful.

If anyone should be happy, it should be the fanbase, the fact is that there's no real improvement in the players or the team, it's like the annual fire the sacrificial underling at the end of every season, and one would think that fat ass would have enough respect for the school he graduated from to go "Hey, you know what, I am in pretty far over my head, how about I just take what you've paid me already, and you guys hire some movers to get my shit out of here so the program will have a chance to improve." But no, you have this egotastic fuck who can't accept that the problem might just be him.

How many kids went to that school that could have developed their raw talent into careers yet they never had the chance? That whole thought makes this situation so much worse. There's exceptions, just great players like Golden Tate, but look at Clausen now and when he started, they talk about how much more comfortable he looks, but if you ask me that's just because he's grown so used to being hit every play his body has lost all feeling from the neck down.

Good luck Domer fans.

Coming from an Irish fan, this is more than a little ironic.
Sorry, it's the first time I've seen a fumble where a QBs arm was coming forward and the ball wasn't a complete duck :sick1: I can see if it was called a fumble from the get go and then confirmed, but from the few times they showed the replay it sure didn't seem like inconclusive evidence.

The called sucked but it didn't matter, they were already toast. Pitt did the classy thing by running out the clock and not tacking on style points. As a ND fan you should rejoice that this is Frontbutt's last year.

According to the ref who announced it, the ruling on the field WAS fumble, but ND's offense stayed on the field. It didn't seem to me like the refs made any ruling on the field.
