Pitt 13, West Virginia 9 (final)

I think this game may be like the last two in this series. Very close first half, then not close in the 2nd. Pitt may be close tomorrow, maybe even leading. But WVU has been a tremendous 2nd half team this year from the standpoint of execution, and I see us pulling away in the 2nd half. Maybe not by 28, but still.....

I think that WVU is too talented for Pitt, but with McCoy and an excellent coach you never know, oh thats right, ah well go Sooners:biggrin:

Reportedly Pitt is looking to extend Wannstedt through 2012
.
It appears Pittsburgh is not ready to give up on head coach Dave Wannstedt.
Despite three straight losing seasons under his direction, the Panthers are poised to give Wannstedt a three-year extension that takes him through 2012, a person familiar with the deal told ESPN's Joe Schad on Friday.
The deal leaves Wannstedt with five years left on his contract and provides a slight raise over his current $1 million a year salary, a source told Schad.
Pitt is expected to make a formal announcement at Saturday's 100th Backyard Brawl at No. 2 West Virginia.
Pitt fans were probably looking for the rack instead.

I know it's going off on a tangent, but if Pitt got rid of Wannstedt, who would they hire to replace him. There are a lot of high profile openings this year, and Pitt would be stuck with leftovers. Pitt can be an attractive job, and they may as well hold on to Wannstedt until the competition for up-and-coming coaches is not as fierce.

I don't think Pitt has the slightest chance in this game, I realize upsets happen and this has been a fucked up year, but WVU is a thousand times better than Pitt. I don't think Pitt can score here, I don't think they can stop, hell, I don't even think they can run the ball back, I think WVU wins this game by 40 points and it's over at the half.

31-3 at the half.
55 - 10 at the end.

But then again, fuck, with this season being the way it has been, who the hell knows, but that's my thoughts. Based on WVU's play VS the pitt games I have seen, and their loss to Navy.
