or they could also send smoke signals, or send a carrier pigeon (which would shit EVERYWHERE), or singing telegram... all would be very disruptive!

There were room-specific ones at my highschool. THe call buttons were so sensitive, you could call the office using a well aimed spitball. We generally did this once a week. Hilarity ensued.
