AJ Burnett is now 11-3 so thank you to the Yankees for paying most of his salary. By the way, the Pirates have the best home record in MLB at 31-14. :pirate1:

Bucs break out the brooms while hitting their 104th home run of the season. They hit 107 all of last year. :pirate2:

The Bucs had the best record in baseball the last 50 games through Sunday (34-16) so even with that hiccup they're 35-18 the last 53. I'll take it.

Need to do better in Houston next series, though.

Thought Pirates did fairly well on Trade Deadline day. Would have liked to seen a more proven bat, but the 2 guys they picked up have potential. Don't like the reliever they got from NYY, but I guess they felt sorry for Stealing Burrnett from the Yankees.

4 outs away and some kid who just got called up from the minors today gets a solid single after 2 borderline pitches were called balls. Oh well, just finish off the win, Bucs.

Holy shit, the Pirates finally won a home game versus San Diego ending the Pads 11 game winning streak at PNC Park. Had to rally from 5-0 down to do it. :pirate2:
