pirates of the caribbean 3

buckeyefool

He's back and better than ever!
  • Went and saw the movie last night. Pretty good

wraps up the three very nicely and gives some good closure to the series while also leaving open the ability to revisit the franchise (what movie doesn't these days)

I don't want to give away to much, so I'll just say if you liked the first two, go see this one.

These kinds of movies are the downfall component of our western society...

It was a little long, about 30 minutes too long IMO. Other than that I enjoyed it...not as good as the first but if you liked the first two you'll probably like this one too.

I saw it last night and I liked it alot, not better than the first 2, but it was still very cool. Lotta weird stuff going on in this one, but hey what can you expect when you go to the worlds end? Only thing I had against it was that I think it focused too much on Turner instead of Sparrow, otherwise, it was awesome and I really hope for a 4th!

I liked it better than the second one, but not as much as the original. Which is about all you can hope for in the third movie in a series.

I'm willing to see another one in the theater, which isn't true for me with Spidey.

Just out of curiosity, would you be willing to see another movie without the main actors? Not sure if it would happen, but it could be likely that Depp, Knightley, ect. may not all return. I didn't like the third one enough to see a fourth one without all of them returning.

That sounds like a negotiating ploy, but I probaby wouldn't pay to see another one in the theater without Depp and most of the others.

Didn't Depp say he was open to doing a 4th one last week sometime? I don't remember the actual quote, but he said something like it'd be fun to do again, but they need to take a break from it.

Anyway, I think Depp is the key to doing another one. 1) If he's back I think most of the rest will come back and 2) Jack Sparrow is kind of the engine of the series and I don't think they'd do it without him.

Just got back and I don't wee what all the fuss is about. A bunch of people doing exercises on a beach that may or may not have been in the Caribbean. Joseph Pliates wasn't even IN the movie.

Actually it was great fun - but I did not stay for the end of the credits. Can somebody PM me what I missed?

    Thanks.
