Piracy, RIAA, Lawsuits

BitTorrent

You download a client (Vuze, uTorrent etc) and then you will have to use a tracker site (PirateBay, Demonoid, ShareReactor etc ) to find the actual links.

As far as the old school p2p stuff Frostwire & Shareaza are both still around (remember to avoid the Shareaza.com website as it's a scam site meant to install crapware on your machine).

Most of the hard core guys have always used Usenet/Newsgroups.

Or you can just check out stuff from your local library & rip it yourself (which means you don't have to worry about the bad quality rips let alone issues with viruses & other nasties).
