buckeye78;1039349; said:And you think Wells won't have any serious impact on this game? And belive me, Beanie is fearless in his own right, and will give as good as he gets, at least.
sluTiger;1039361; said:Actually I never said he will not have an impact on the game. I said that for him to have an impact on the game OSU will not be able to be a one dimensional offense. OSU will not beat LSU being a one dimensional as they were against Michigan. Loosen up LSU 8 man front, then Wells can run crazy. I have no doubt that Wells is fearless and can deliver as good as it gets. LSU will gear up to stop Wells until it is proven there are greater threats.

Opponent..........Total...Rush...Pass
Youngstown State....417....147....270
Akron...............363....196....167
Washington..........481....256....225
Northwestern........396....191....205
Minnesota...........459....250....209
Purdue..............381....181....200
Kent State..........401....138....263
Michigan State......422....229....193
Penn State..........453....200....253
Wisconsin...........377....211....166
Illinois............336....180....156
Michigan............279....229.....50
Average Per Game....397....201....196
Items of note:
- Number of rushes per game: 44 (slightly inflated by the 59 runs vs. scUM)
- Number of passes per game: 25 (slightly deflated by the 13 attempts vs. scUM)
- If Todd throws for only 150 yards vs. scUM (which would still be the lowest output of the season) the AYPG is raised to 205.

NP_Buckeye;1039661; said:SluTiger, I agree with you. I do think Wells will have a big game if our offense is balanced right, but to think Wells is going to be dominate if all we do is run the ball is a bit crazy. It's going to be important for Boeckman to check off plays and read the D when he comes to the line. If OSU can sting LSU a few times with passes when/if they bring up 8/9 then I like the chances of Beanie breaking a few wide open runs.
Seems simple right?

Go ahead and put 8 or 9 in the box to stop Beanie...please please please please please
sluTiger;1039251; said:You know it is possible that Michigan just SUCKS that bad. Hey let me save you some time for your bowl game. Teebow up the middle or Teebow throws... That is all there is to it, get after it boys..
Better than UM, totally agree. "Magnitude" better? Uh, no. Michigan gave up about 40 yards a game more on the ground (factoring out our 229-yard game against them) than did LSU. Not bad considering Michigan plays in the slow, plodding, rush-oriented Big Ten while LSU plays in the high-flying warp-speed aerial circus called the SEC.sluTiger;1039333; said:Actually I do, but do you OSU fans realize that our players are a magnitude better than UM and will not be afraid to hit Mr. Wells.
Boeckman was "shaky" at Michigan because of the weather. Henne and Mallett were also "shaky". Tough to throw in a steady freezing rain...then again, SEC fans wouldn't know anything about playing under such conditions.sluTiger;1039639; said:The mood of the board seems to be run Wells 30 or 35 times in this game.
