Phoenix Suns (Official Thread)

I have heard that Suns are pretty enamored with Noah...

Have seen that too.

I have no idea what they see in him. Maybe if they need a new sidekick for their Gorilla mascot...

IMO Corey Brewer would be a much better fit for them. He would improve their defense right away, and would give them another outside threat as a shooter. I think he could come in and make them better, or atleast more so than Noah.

Well the lottery went about as bad as it could. Portland, Seattle and Atlanta...dang! Greg with the JailBlazers or Sonics. And Phoenix so close to possibly getting that player to help put them over that hump. Guess they can try to package their two picks... or grab one big body and a forgein point guard that they can sign later.

I thought I heard that if Atlanta's pick goes in the top three this year, then we get next year's pick from them no matter what it is?

Any truth in that?

Yeah, Phoenix is getting Atlanta's first rounder next year, whereever it may be.

The only bad thing for Phoenix, is that Atlanta will be getting the #3 and #11 pick this year, and could be considerably better next season, which means Phoenix could get a much lower draft pick.

maybe he can figure out what's missing. the suns are always close, but i'm never confident that they will win it all becuase there's always been something missing. its been this way since the 90's. my guess is that it lies on the defensive side of the ball.

Foul trouble and the Spurs hitting 3's were the biggest problems this post season with the Suns. Also Nash needs a shooting guard that will spot up and hit 35-40% of the wide open 3's he leaves them to get over the hump. Word is that Marion will be going thats probably the biggest reason for looking at Noah. I actually have read in the Arizona Republic this week that one of the players they may be looking at is Daequan Cook. DC would actually be a good pick for Phoenix although Brewer might be better due to his defensive abilities also. Stoudamire is a beast and still very young so my opinion is that the Suns are fine there. Diaw can fill a big body role so if I were the Suns I'd go after the spot up shooter and defensive stopper.
