Phil's putting was on another level today. I wonder what it feels like to consistently roll in 20-30 footers like that. Lord knows I wouldnt know. Congrats Phil!

I'm not really thinking that miss hitting your drive and then putting it about the only place he could on the green is brilliant course management.
Being the last guy to hit and knowing where Phil and Keegan were, it seema to me that a 3 wood down the middle was a better course management shot then hitting a driver.

matt_thatsme;2112489; said:Yeah, 3 wood worked pretty well for Keegan and Phil, right? There is a difference between course management and executing your shot. The guy knew where Phil and Keegan were and could have gone at the pin. Instead he took his medicine and gave himself a putt. Phil could have done the same thing, but instead went at the pin (bad course management). Keegan didn't have a choice due to the bunker's edge.
Call it luck if you will, but if I gave you 20 putts from that distance and Haas 20 putts from that distance, somehow I think Haas would make more of them. Skill has something to do with it. Haas played the percentages and won. You call it luck, I call it brilliant.
