In regards to Conley, the article explains that Matta has been recruiting Mike for a couple of years while he was at Xavier and most people think if Matta would have been at a different school he would have been the leader for Conley instead of Wake this past few years.

Lamb believes that Conley and Oden will make their choices public by the end of the first week of June when they depart for the USA Basketball Festival.

He feels very confident they will become buckeyes and I do also.

I can't believe we've gone 7 days with no updates... any news? anyone?
BuckeyeInTheBoro........Conley has been very quiet and laying low the past few weeks and thats due to both Oden and Conley deciding to not talk to the media and take time to really spend some time on their decision.

The latest update is very slanted in my opinion. He is not quoted as saying he is concerned about the upcoming NCAA decision, but the interviewer says he is concerned, which by the way is nothing new to anyone who is following his recruitment, he has said in the past he is aware of the investigation and keeps his eye on it. Conley also says that OSU is closer to home and that is an advantage for us in my opinion. I have been saying for months that location is a very big key to not only Conley but also Oden.

I am very confident regardless of how the Wake site trys to slant this article. If he wanted to go to Wake, he would have pulled the trigger by now. OSU is the leader.

From the Wake site...Conley says he is close to a decision but that the process has been difficult. He likes OSU's proximity and Wake's academics. He confirms that Oden will probably end up wherever he goes. He mentions he is waiting to see what happenes with the NCAA investigation at OSU.

I would not feel very confident if I was a Wake fan and I had just read that article by a Wake "insider"...

I have been saying it for over a month that OSU is the leader for both Conley and Oden. If Conley wanted to go to Wake....he would have made a decision at this point. Its clear that OSU has been the leader for a while now.

Matta is doing such a great job recruiting.

As some have alluded here and elsewhere, it is very telling that he is waiting to make his decision.

Wake has already moved on and is offering two other key PGs and rumors say they will only take one. So if he indeed is torn between going to two places he is ruining his chances to land a spot on WF's roster.

I think it seems pretty clear he is just making sure his decision is the right one by trying to feel out the NCAA situation.

My feeling is that his waiting is a great thing for tOSU. I highly doubt that the Bucks will get a three-year ban from the Tourney. (I'd gurantee in fact). So, once the Bucks are officially cleared and will be allowed in the '06 Tourney, then Conley and Odean will committ. They wouldn't care what happened at OSU if they were going to Wake Forest. If they truly wanted to go to Wake Forest, then IMO they would have committed by now. I think after the Bucks are finally cleared, Conley and Oden will then committ to the Buckeyes. (At least this is how this scenario is how I would like it to be played out).
