Here he is against good talent. He is pretty quick, undersized, can handle it, and looks like he can shoot it. Sees the floor well. My concern will be on defense in the B1G trying to match up against some much larger guys.
Doesn't look like it's in the cards, but if Beverly could grow about three inches, the comparisons to White Chocolate Jason Williams are inevitable. Beverly hails from east KY, not too far from WV, Williams' home.
im excited to watch this kid play at OSU
I'm definitely getting a sleeper vibe from Beverly. He is playing well against and with elite talent already. He might be ready to make significant contributions right away. He's a freshman eligibility-wise, but he's like a college sophomore in age and experience.
Unfortunately, we cannot just go with 3 guards next season unless we move Wesson to the backcourt. I guess this is assuming that CH and Braxton have a heart to heart247 shows about 10 schools that were interested in braxton. butler was one of them. he had one official visit to holt's program, but there was no offer.
edit: rivals lists about 20 interested schools and 10 offers (no butler, which would have been his second-best).
what do you mean? i'm not sure i follow.Unfortunately, we cannot just go with 3 guards next season unless we move Wesson to the backcourt. I guess this is assuming that CH and Braxton have a heart to heart
i think cj and braxton are safe this season and next. i think it's '19 when it may get a little dicey. the '18 class must have a point guard. the expectation is that jeremiah francis (if not someone else) will be a buckeye for '19, and few rosters have three pure point guards. holtmann tends to run a backcourt-oriented offense, but none of the aforementioned players strike me as off-guards... at least not in the sense that any of them are stellar perimeter shooters.I guess what I am trying to say is that if Braxton does not fit into CH's plans it is possible that he might not stick around.
