PG Aaron Craft (B1G 6th MOY '11, Def POY '12, Acad AA, Dolomiti En. TR - Italy)

How can you play for two different teams?

He's the second coming of Buckeyeskickbuttocks; he's multiple people.

Craft's agent says Aaron will play for the Philadelphia 76ers in the July 5-11th session of the Summer League in Orlando, and then for the Golden State Warriors in the July 11-21st session in Las Vegas.

Watched a half of the Warriors Summer League yesterday, only to see how Craft fared. He got many minutes (clearly he's getting a chance to prove himself), but didn't distinguish himself (maybe he did in second half, didn't watch). He played his game, but the speed at that level seemed a bit quick for him, and on one breakaway, Craft did his patented cut in front move, but the player fought through it and laid it in. Announcers had nice things to say. He directed the offense well, but when he made his pass and cut through the paint, out to other side, the play had already finished (shot or make). He passed on three wide open threes, as it was apparent the defenders were daring him to shoot, and back-rimmed a three from the side. Made a bad pass, missed a pass off his foot, and made two or three good passes on breakaways. One driving high layup from the side went down, one didn't.

All in all, an average day without any steals for Aaron. However, this is a league where the players are looking to make statements, and of course shooters get the oohs and ahhs. In contradiction, however, they were looking to score, but not as 'ball hogs' or 'gunners'. That won't play in the NBA, as those kids will get iced out by the vets. Here's wishing that Aaron will start nailing those open threes. Go Bucks

Steve Kerr has gone out of his way to say nice things about him.

He hasn't look overmatched (granted the competition isn't great) but I still don't think he's an NBA player at the moment. I think the best route for him would be to play in Europe for a couple years, hopefully get his shooting to a respectable level, then hopefully carve out a career as an Earl Watson type backup point guard.

Eric Snow had more than a coffee cup in the league. Good defensively, liability offensively, smart, consummate team guy (pretty familiar so far). AC4 is an inch shorter and a few pounds lighter; though I don't believe strength will ever be an issue for him. I know I am comparing ES pro stats vs AC4's college so it's not apples to apples, but I believe if Snow can do it AC4 can.

Snow also played with the black hole at SG (Iverson) and then ended his career with the Cavs so he had LBJ. To boot, the ideas is bringing him in as a backup PG for 12-14 minutes a game not the starter.

Yes, I am jumping on the homer bandwagon as well and realize there has been no other legitimate reason to believe AC4 to the Cavs is even remotely a consideration. But whatever.

I loved Craft as a Buckeye as much as the next guy but some of these posts remind me of the Troy Smith thread.
I will admit it on my end. I am a fan of AC4 and
am rooting blindly for him to make it in the NBA.

I will say watching him last night in the summer league game (I know, I know) he more than held his own and was as equally disruptive on the defensive end as we are used to seeing.

I don't think he is an all star or even a starter. But I think he can be a role playing backup in the league.

I watched the first playoff game for Santa Cruz (first NBADL game I've watched in a while) and I'm happy Craft is making the best of his current situation. You could see some of the players -- on both teams -- playing like they were pouting (sort of).

This is probably just another example that whatever Craft does, he'll work his hardest.
