So, update. Got someone local to go to the next stop on where this letter would go. Post office says they can’t help and directs us back to Cleveland.

I call the three numbers they give me, 1 rejects the call and the two others I get voicemail. Call the 1-800 number, automated system tells me my case has been successfully closed. WTF!

Get a real person on the line and the lady tells me yes letter is still in transit. Seriously, a 70 mile drive is still in transit a week later??? I asked why my case was closed, since the letter is still missing. She proceeds to reopen the case. I asked for a number to try to call and check on this. It’s the same fricking number the local Post Office gave me.

Ineptitude at its finest….

Maybe this is on here, already, but when there is a sidewalk along the streets in a neighborhood, why are people walking in the street? I see it all the time. I mean, I get it when I'm walking my dog and I want to walk around other people walking, I walk in the street a little bit to keep her from being too friendly with people. But I get back on the sidewalk. And then there's the teenagers who get this "look at me" attitude and 15 of them walk down the middle of the street. I'm talking mostly about the joggers who jog in the street. Is there a good reason? And don't tell me the asphalt is softer on your legs because I'm not buying it. Run in the grass between the sidewalk and the street. The streets aren't wide enough for the car parked on the street and then 2 cars passing each other in that spot. Are you sure you want to walk/run in the street right there?

Oh, and if there's snow or ice on the sidewalks, I get it. The city doesn't plow the sidewalks often enough and no one shovels their sidewalks. So walk in the street - that's not bothering me. But when the sidewalks are clear, why are you opposed to walking on the sidewalks?

I'm trying to avoid sounding like this should be in the political forum, so I'll make this as generic as possible. What kind of scumbag would show that much disrespect for his/her country after that country actively dealt to bring him/her home? I don't know much about Brittney Griner, and if she wants to kneel for the national anthem, then fine - there are better things for me to worry about. But if the country makes the effort and successfully makes a deal to bring someone home, it'd be a shitty thing if that person continued to disrespect the country. Anyway, she can do what she wants. And the guy in that video was a dickhole. He can do what he wants. But I won't lose any sleep if someone gives him a wedgie or a wet-willy or something.

It was a very bad trade for us, she disrepected our country, went to another country and disrespected their laws and got caught, was paying a steep price and it would not of broke my heart had she not been rel;eased. That being said the dude just came across as juvenile, unfunny and really crossed the line just for the sake of a few tik tok views. I don't want us to become that

My kid played club soccer for the first time this past season. Overall it was a great experience. He made some new friends and enjoyed the experience and I met some parents that were generally cool and not horrible to be around. Tryouts were two weeks ago, and the club is trying to grow so they allowed new coaches to come in and bring in their own teams (Not happy about it but it is the nature of club sports). My kid ended up in a lower division because of that for the next year. Again not happy but I know that he had some skills to work on and several of his teammates also got dropped into the lower division. Most of the parents were in the same mindset of not being happy about it but we were looking forward to the kids growing their skillset and building on what they had built this past year. All except one parent.

This one parent threw a fit and tried to get all the other parents to quit the team. She herself declined the offer to have her kid play and made it clear that her goal was to make sure that the third team would not be around. In the end, she threatened to pull her other kid, who is actually good from a different age level and would play somewhere else. The club management did not want to see that happen so they finally gave in and moved her son back to the team he was on last year. When I called her out on it of course I became the bad guy. All I did was explain to her that if she was always going to remove barriers for her kid then he would struggle later in life and become a softie who would live in her basement into his 40's. From there she has tried to turn several parents against Me and my kid.

Anyway long story short, parents who clearly need more to do in their life than cause drama in kids' sports can fuck all the way off.
