Especially when the head coach decides that instead of using these stud RBs, let's see what happens when we bring in the second string QB and have him line up at WR then throw a backwards pass to him so he can throw to the TE.
Oh......we're out of FG range now. Punt.
I like how they had this innovative idea to have an extra offensive lineman line up outside, and run in motion to the middle. Snap the ball just as he gets there and he's got some momentum to really knock someone over... right?
I don't think he blocked anyone in any of those three plays.
My mistake - they didn't do that on first down. 34:20 of that video.
2nd down is at 34:26, and you see #71 in motion, and he doesn't do anything with his block.
3rd down is at 34:33, and again #71 is in motion, and whiffs on his block.
4th down is at 34:44, and it looks like he's lined up wide, but it doesn't really show if he's in motion. Again, though, he doesn't make any blocks.
They might have an idea, though. Why not snap it a little sooner so he's still wide of the tight end, and then he can hit the defensive end on that side. Sweep around that side and the tight end can release to get a safety or linebacker on that side.
My point is that they took a blocker out, themselves, on 3 of those plays.
