Well, in the mindset of that crazy cult fanbase, any year that Paterno did not win the COY award is a fluke. Everyone should feel grateful to just share a field with Paterno. Bask in his almighty glory and tell your grandkids about the day. The fact that he only won 3 in 18 years shows what a corrupt league this is.

They continue to not know how big boy football works. Time after time, something that is routine for an elite school always flummoxes them. They can't comprehend things outside of Penn St.

Well, I do know that at OSU many of the best players are on a 3 year plan. They generally do not return after 3 years if they are tabbed to go in the 1st 2 rounds.

I love the "u wrong" statement. Maybe I'm old, but at least type out the word and a complete sentence to show respect for the readers and the topic at hand.

They argue back and forth a little. But I think most people seem to be laughing at the OP.

Setting aside the use of texting lingo it’s still a fatuous post.

The person he responded to used the term “generally”, so pointing out three counter examples would not comprise a refutation. Worse still, they’re not even counter examples.

As a response his examples are Zach Harrison, C. J. Stroud, and Parris Johnson.

Would any of those have been drafted in the first 2 rounds in April of 2022?

So utterly foolish I’m not going to even bother to look up if they were all even draft eligible. Whether they were or weren’t, his judgement is already as off-base as it can possibly be

Agreed. I mean, we can all (even me) can come up with a list of guys who stuck around for a fourth year at Ohio State, even though he likely would have been a high pick. That doesn't mean ALL players (or even a majority) stay for the 4 years. And vice versa.

I don't usually get interested in guessing where specific dudes are going to be drafted. But wouldn't Stroud have been drafted in first 2 rounds last year? I think he would have, but I'm selfish and I'm glad I don't have to find out if that's right.
