Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

If they go 8-4, Batches O'Boulihan deserves National, not just B1G coach of the year. They lost their best players from a horrific offense and are relying on friggin' McMoxie to run a totally new offense. That ain't Tom Brady, and those TEs aren't Gronk and Hernandez. That's not even addressing the mess their DBs are.

I know, that's why I wouldn't be surprised if they go 3-9 or even 2-8. But they've got a pretty easy schedule this year. So it wouldn't surprise me if they only lose 4 games. I have no idea what they'll look like on the field though, so that's why anything from a horribly bad to relatively good season from them wouldn't surprise me. I guess what it really comes down to is not confidence in Penn State but rather a lack of confidence in their opponents. Of course I'd love to see them go winless to see how the fanbase reacts.

It might be cliched, but I think their whole season hinges on tomorrow. If FredOU can keep the ped aggy front 7 at bay long enough for their qb to pick apart a defensive backfield comprised of MAC level recruits and walk-ons, then Fredo wins. After that, no way do they win on the road at UVA, and the season spirals out of control from there.

I don't think they have a chance in Virginia regardless. I see a potential for 5 wins, and they will lose at least 1 of those, so it is a big game tomorrow, but I don't think it will mean much more than 4-8 versus 5-7 or 3-9.

I think that if they lose tomorrow, it's a 2 or 3 win season. If they win, they'll probably be able to scratch out 5.

Penn State fans outraged at having a moment of silence for Sandusky's victims. Personally, I think that the constant "remember the victims" cries in this scandal have become like those American flag pins that every politician wears- ritual or symbolic acts that have been driven to the point of meaninglessness through rote repetition. But still, to actually get pissed off about it?

The ncaa should have made it at least a two year "moment of silence" by giving that fucking program the death penalty. Subhuman, mutant, freaks.

Don't stand there for a few seconds and give respect to the victims.....but do give a silent prayer for the guy that made it possible for so many more kids to be victimized.

Priorities. They have them.

This was an ESPN and NCAA wet dream. Maybe even preplanned.Reply
When they were talking about PSU being tired in the 2nd Q I was like, huh? Then I realized we were being set up for the 2nd half. Not enough to sanction the shit out of us and steal our money. You have to thoroughly embarrass the institution and attempt to drive away the fans. This is part of the script. Thank you BoT. Thank you Big 10. I hope the Big 10 gets embarassed the entire rest of the season.

But there is a benefit to letting them play.

Ohio 24
Penn State 14

Yeah, it's going to be a looooong season in Crappy Valley.

Next week on the road at Virginia. If Penn State can win there the season could still be salvaged. Its only 1 game. Its not the be all end all.
PSU couldnt even beat a MAC team in the home opener. Now if they are down Morris and Belton...they are going to go down to Charlottesville and beat Virginia? Thanks for the laugh bro.

Well at least some of them are being realistic
