Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

offside_1.0.jpg

So it's clear to me that James's head is over the line at the time of the kick. His feet are not. I'm a little curious of what the actual rule is - is the line of scrimmage really a "plane of scrimmage"? Or do you need to be touching the ground for it to be "offsides"?

Either way, this game was perfect - Michigan looked HORRIBLE in a win, and Penn State blames the refs more than they do their own team. Well, some blame their own team, but those get "shown the door".

This picture also give a more favorable view than the ref saw since the camera was to the left of the ref. If it was to the other side he would have looked a few feet past the line. I'd like to send a big FU to the Pedsters for making me want scUM to win. This would have been an asteroid game if not for my brother-in-law being in the stands. Unfortunately it sounds like he missed out on the free ticket Coke promotion.

This is from the thread discussing pulling Myles Hartsfield's offer after the accusations at Sayresville N.J. High School.
Read this and let it sink in for a minute.
All I can say is " Ho. Lee. Crap.

It was also supposedly a daily thing over those 10 days so either there are more victims or some victims were repeatedly assaulted. To even try and compare that to how freshman are treated at Penn State is beyond ridiculous (especially given the JS fallout the past 3 years). Clearly the people involved should have been kicked off the team and prosecuted. As to cancelling them entire season- who knows? I'm sure the high school administrators know the whole story and the police investigation continues. You won't be able to really judge the whole team punishment until everything is announced. However, considering one of the fathers said all the freshman kids quickly got changed and out of the locker room before seniors got in after practice, (with some freshman literally changing outside rather than in the locker room), this had to be known by the whole team so some team punishment was needed as well.

First, bulldump on your "sexual assault". There is nothing sexual about what occurred from what I've read and I doubt you know any more than I. If you consider that sexual, you have a far different definition of sex.

Second, I stated that the ritual of the football Team was more repulsive that the treatment of Freshmen at PSU but both are juvenile and done in fun. It seems that "more repulsive" description, by me, was lot on you.

Third, I didn't propose that the Team not be punished. I guess that was lost on you. I stated that the season or even a game suspension was over reaction. The actions could have been corrected with less egregious punishment a la our own well publicized "justice system".
Respect the tradition: Black shoes, basic blues, no names, all game!

He called the timeout because the play clock was running out. Stupid. He should have taken the 1/2 yard penalty instead.
Somebody on BWI posted a quote from Franklin saying they took the time out to make sure they were allowed to take the safety. I don't know what the question he was answering was....or if he even said that, but there you go.

I agree, it's probably nothing more than freshman year at Penn State. That is progress. Now, if they can just take one more step and see why their sexual abuse is sickening, I think we make real progress.

Sometimes, I despair at the state of the world. How anyone can make the statements any of these people make is beyond me.

So, if PSU-Knocker was unwillingly held down by 5 or 6 guys, and then one of those guys inserted his fingers into PSU-Knockers anus, he would not sue for sexual battery?

No wonder they all think Jer-bear is innocent. Bunch of fucking creepy perverts running around Slappy Valley these days.

Let's see........"CONSPIRACY!!!1!!" "The B1G is out to get us, we should go to the ACC!" "Witvoet won't let us beat Michigan" "HOLDING!"
409! Beat Nebraska! AARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!11111!!!!

you know, just another day for the cult.

1stnittanyfan bringing the gold in the "Referines Question" thread. Stop me if you have ever heard this one before, but the Peds got screwed over by resentful Ohio voters in 1994.

"Many of the coaches, especially Oho State and Michigan along with the Officials resented Penn State coming into the league. Remember all four AP voters in Ohio dropped us in their voting after we beat Ohio State 63 - 14 in 1994 and some voted Penn state as low as 6th after we ran the league."

Joesus single handedly brought about the current replay system because the referines were so biased that video evidence proved the infallible Joesus correct.

"The 4 calls in 2002 were so blatant, and mostly by the same line judge that Joepa ran down an official after the game to complain and the Penn State AD and Paterno put together video evidence and made an official complaint to the Big Ten administration. The result was the current replay system used throughout college football. "

The Big 10 officials apparently told PSU to know their role all the way back in 1993.

"The Big 10 refs served notice on Penn state in '93 Michigan game at Beaver Stadium when they threatened Penn State with a penalty, FOR TOO MUCH CROWD NOISE. Took the home crowd out of a close game and the implication was clear."

They still fail to understand that if EVERY SINGLE VOTER in B1G territory at the time had voted for them, they still would not have overtaken Nebraska. I also like how they fail to mention that the voters in Pennsyltucky, THEIR OWN FRICKIN' STATE voted for Nebraska.
As for replay, Joesus bitched alot, mostly because of not having his hand picked refs anymore ( see 82 Nebraska at PSU ), but when it came down to it, wasn't really hot on replay being implemented if I recall correctly.
