Quarantine might help.

Here is the unfortunate thing for me. Penn State has an excellent business school (Smeal). Their scholars are really pioneering new marketing management approaches, which draw on the power of modern data modeling and analytics, especially for business to business marketing. These are first-class, world-respected scholars doing rigorous but very practical work.

I just wonder at what point these people feel that they have had enough of this and begin to leave Penn State for better opportunities. An example may have been a top economics professor who left for Kentucky this fall (Dirk Mateer).

The cult better be very careful about how much further they push this silliness. They could set this thing back further than the ten or twenty years that they already have set it back.

Well, I think the writing on the wall is there when you're about to give the Presidency to a fourth string medical dean who wouldn't have even made an interview list pre-scandal, and you only pull it from him because it comes out that he's been padding his salary. As much as I relished the thought of an Ohio State alum (Zimpher) trolling Penn State over the job, the sad thing (for Penn State) is that Zimpher probably rebuffed them on their first contact. The actual SUNY figure in question was about three layers beneath her on the flow chart.

Just saw on BTN that Allen Robinson is limited with a shoulder injury.

I find it funny and pathetic that Willius O'Budrucker is so transparently trying to channel Belichick with the bullshit injury reports.

Yeah, that will give you the edge you need against Purdue.

Coaching. Genius.

Original poster believes that the bowl sactions for THIS year will be removed. The first couple of responses say that he's delusional. But soon the delusion takes over and everyone starts buying in. Hilarity ensues.

I read through some of that. Amazing how a cultist can start a post with "I am willing to bet that this is what happened..." and within two or three posts, it is regarded as fact. (Sorry, I meant FACTS! and/or EVIDENTS!) Of course, any reasonable deduction made by Freeh without black and white facts FACTS! and EVIDENTS! to support it is completely false.

 they post that ALL THE TIME. I never go back to look and see if it's the same guy each time, but it's always "I'm willing to be this is what happened..." followed by a string of like 40 terribly unlikely events.

Maybe just once this conference could look out for penn state. Have they ever??? Nope.
Why the fuck do you need the conference to look out for you? Does anybody here feel like the B1G looks out for Ohio State? I don't. They don't do anything that purposefully hurts Ohio State either. What the hell would that even entail?

These morons think if everybody isn't bending over backwards for them, they're actively screwing them. Fucking typical Penn State mindset.

My favorite, and this is coming back around again with Ohio State currently on the outside of the title game looking in, is that the Poll voters in Ohio screwed them in 1994. Sure, those 3 votes really would have turned around the 51.5-10.5 vote you lost. Maybe be angry that you only got one out of three Pennsylvania votes first?

They still call for the PA based voters to lowball Ohio State this season. I don't know if they know the AP poll doesn't mean anything or not.

Wait... wow... I had always believed that Penn State was #1 until they beat Ohio State, and Nebraska snuck up and passed Penn State at that point. (I loved how they blamed Ohio State voters for that.) Was that really the voting difference? I'd look, but it's almost time to go home.

I did find the wikipedia page on this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1994_NCAA_Division_I-A_football_season
Basically says that Nebraska, Penn State, and even Colorado were all fighting for that top spot. Penn State was #1 for only about 2 weeks.
