Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Taking shots at TBDBITL on a message board is better than throwing urine on them in real life. They're maturing.

I'm not arguing their answer, but I am making fun of the idea of this discussion. They're "arguing" whether the '94 Penn State team would have beat the 2013 Buckeye team. And by "arguing", I mean that they all agree on the answer. Guess what that is?

I like this part:
if Penn State were in the NFL, only the Cowboys and the 49ers would be able to put a better Offense on the field from top to bottom.

Penn State to pay $59.7 million to 26 people over Jerry Sandusky

Penn State will pay $59.7 million to 26 young men over claims of sexual abuse by former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, the university announced Monday.

Of the 26 settlements, 23 are fully signed and three have been agreed upon in principle. The settlements include a release of all claims against Penn State and other parties.

The money for the settlement payouts is not coming from student tuition, taxpayers or donations, according to the university.

“The Board of Trustees has had as one of its primary objectives to reach settlements in a way that is fair and respects the privacy of the individuals involved,” Keith Masser, chair of the Penn State Board of Trustees, said in a statement. “This is another important milestone in accomplishing that goal. I would like to thank the board’s Legal and Compliance Committee, as well as its Legal Subcommittee for its leadership throughout this process.”

“We hope this is another step forward in the healing process for those hurt by Mr. Sandusky, and another step forward for Penn State,” university president Rodney Erickson said. “We cannot undo what has been done, but we can and must do everything possible to learn from this and ensure it never happens again at Penn State.”

“… We have made great strides, but a great deal of work remains,” Erickson said. “Our University is a better institution today as a result of the work and dedication of our trustees, administrators, faculty, staff and students.”

There is not a team in College football this year that the 94 team wouldn't beat. And there are a few NFL teams that they could have beat this year.

How long before a thread mentioning that the Alumni weren't mentioned explodes on BWI?

I love how every bitch thread about the refs comes with the caveat that they realize it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game, but rules are rules and things should be called every single time no matter what.

Then they bitch about reviewing the bad spot on 4th down. All of a sudden rules are rules and what actually happened in the game doesn't matter......we should take into consideration the surroundings and even though the correct call would have been turnover, we should have just left it alone.

Which way do you want it you vaginas? Every call made correctly no matter what (protip: penn state holds and doesn't get called for it also), or do we take into account the score and wind direction and butthurt level of the opponents?

Oh good. They're done being gigantic babies about their epic beatdown....and they're back to normalcy. You know.....saying things so unbelievably callous and short sighted while being blinded by a dickhead football coach.
That's what cowards do

And the current BOT members - including the new faction - are also on the hook for handing out these large sums of cash to people that cannot even prove that they were "victims". I am not giving them a pass either.

[Mutant Cultist]Joe taught this team better than to cheat. Grand experiment! Evidents!!!"[/Mutant Cultist]

Re: OK, OSU beat us down soundly, but they got help from the refs!Reply
Agree that the better team won on Saturday, but, moving forward, we can not allow ourselves to be constantly at a disadvantage with the officiating. Either we file another formal complaint or we just accept that it will never change and start teaching our linemen how to hold, Big Ten-style.

well that is kinda sorta what JoePed did in a game against Rutgers back in the mid-90s. They're just pissed that someone did it to them, since that's all they did to those eastern teams they beat up through the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s....

Well that's different because......
I knew there was a logical explanation...I just had to find it:

Joe had nothing to do with that pass late in the game against rutgers. It was obvious he was embarrassed by it.Graber mouthed off and being a competitor Joe gave it right back. Not his best moment but you can understand no one likes to be cursed at.
He improvised the play at the line. Joe did not call for it. But Joe wasn't the type to thrown a player under the bus so he took the heat for Mikey. A decision I am sure he came to regret.
I'm really starting to think everybody else is the asshole because none of us recognize the infallibility of one Mr. Joseph Paterno.
