Nope - when it comes to the pedsters, Max has shown the sense and objectivity that he wants to be known for. The Pedsters made their beds, and now get to lie within them and he hasn't made much of an issue with that - unlike the two knuckleheads I quote below.

It is not a lack of objectivity from me. I lived among these fuckers. These fuckers get their entire self-worth from some old pedophile enabler having college football wins. That type of CULTure needs to be eradicated and the NCAA was singularly failed in this aspect. Again.

Wow. The fact that the "grand experiment" known as Penn State football prevented/discouraged those who could have stopped Sandusky much earlier than he was shows your complete lack of compassion for the victims. Maybe you should go buddy up with the BWI crowd as you think very much like them.

I guess I am contrarian in that I really don't give a shit about what happens to PSU and their football program. But no, I don't appear to be an apologist to anyone except nitwits such as yourself that are so wrapped up in PSU's downfall. If the fact that I don't care about their football program and whether they get punished more or less heavily makes me contrarian then great. I'll say this, I don't think the sanctions will do anything to dissuade this type of fucked up behavior. I, along with every sane human, abhors what happened and hope that somehow the victims can have good lives, but I don't think the dismantling of the football program will affect things one way or the other. If PSU got the death penalty I'd have been fine with it. Now that they don't, I'm fine with that too....I just don't give a shit. You obviously do...tough shit.

This post illustrates how little you really know. Your stupid little game really should stop, you are a pedterno supporter. We get it. You have absolutely zero idea of how the culture around that stupid football program aided and abetted a MONSTER for decades. Literally everything Sandusky got away with was due in part to his position either as a coach or "coach emeritus" and it was KNOWN for years that the guy was doing stuff, but no one had the courage to say anything for the sake of the fucking football program.

You should close your account and go over to BWI. Your kind of stupidity would be totally welcome over there, 9fold.

My only comment on this it was Penn State fans, Administration, Joe Paterno and his media lackeys that insisted that PSU football was something more than a Div I football factory..when you put yourself above all, and talk the talk then you must walk the walk. If the hype surrounding the Paterno Empire was to be believed then the response to Sandusky and his issues falls short of what they preached .and approaches a criminal act. Thats why members of PSU are up on charges.

I think that's a good point, and something that's sorta been lost over time as we've watched the BWI idiots and had our fun with trolls organizing a rally. JoePed did hold himself out as "one of the good guys" as more than just an X's and O's football coach. He sold the idea that PSU was something special, where they do things the right way. And, I think even those who feel the punishment was harsh will also admit that JoePed utterly failed in terms of human decency in this case. He didn't want to ruin anyone's weekend? Seriously? That's the reason he waited to tell his "superiors?"

Now, that said, that's not something the NCAA can punish - but, it certainly does play a role in MY attitude about the sanctions. If JoePed and his "superiors" did everything they could, it'd be different. But, they didn't do everything they could. Indeed, they did so little it, as you say, borders on criminal. Again - not the NCAA's problem really, but the reality is - opinions are formed based on it. I like to compartmentalize facts v. emotions as much as I can. But, alas, I am human.

This really is the core to punishment of this type. Not just in business but in college sports. The Ped State program was run like a business where the bottom line was winning at all costs.
They became morally bankrupt.
College sports should be better than that. Held to a higher standard if we are teaching young people. Teach kids ethics and morality now so they become better human beings and better businessmen.
