Maybe it's because I'm not a lawyer, but I can't fathom how JoPed's family has a case against the NCAA. The NCAA recommended sanctions to Ped State, they accepted the sanctions without a fight. I don't really see what this has to do with JoePed. Seems like a huge waste of loans that don't need to be paid back.

Also, the way I understand it (correct me if I'm wrong), Penn State took the Freeh Report and handed it to the NCAA and said, "We are using this to self-report what we have done wrong". So the NCAA says, "Okie dokie," then they hummed the "Jeopardy" theme a few times while they read the report. "If Penn State agrees with this, we shouldn't waste our time pushing on a rope," the NCAA decided, and came up with the sanctions based on what Penn State self-reported.

I can see suing the NCAA that the sanctions were too severe, but as exhawg pointed out, Penn State already accepted the sanctions without a fight. I think that the only ones the Paternos can be upset with is Penn State. Maybe this Louis Freeh guy - but the fact that Penn State accepted the report actually makes it their responsibility, and not so much Freeh's.

This is the crux of the Paternos' failure of intelligence in this law suit. The entity they should be taking suit against is Penn State, as they were the ones who hired Freeh, accepted his findings as FACTS and EVIDENTS!!!! and reported that to the NCAA as their "self-report" and then told the NCAA to NOT go further with investigation, but to just give them their punishment.

The NCAA is not a great institution of integrity, but they are really not the reason Penn State is in this "crisis", yet the zombie Joebots will not let shit go and don't want to admit that Penn State is the one at fault for their precious fraud's erasure from the record books.

Anyway, Fuck Ped State and their zombie worshiping cult.

Which is why any court circuit other than the Centre County court or wherever they filed this POS suit would dismiss it out of hand. I think....

...........and that's the whole problem for the Joebots.

Sue the entity that really did you harm and you have to sue Penn State.

Sue Penn State and lose any last vestige of this being anything more than a crusade to protect the legacy, and marketability, of Glorious Leaders name.

Tard fight!!

Kidding, but I love how closed minded some of the cult is when it is explained n plain English that the Paternos really have no standing to bring this suit against the NCAA. Also love all of the "keyboard lawyers" who totally disregard the rule of law when they claim that no due diligence was done.

Not so fast my friend.

None of this, the Freeh Report, the acceptance of guilt, the consent to appropriate punishment was accepted by the REAL Penn State.

Yes, some bottom-feeding, Board-selected president pro tem agreed to these terms, but no where on any of this evidents (!) do you see the signature of The One True Omniscient, Praised Be His Name, Christ's Vicar of Football, President Maximus Emeritus for Enternity, St. Joseph Paterno.

Only He is Penn State; everyone else is an expendable fraud.
