Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I've read this thread with an open mind. I approached the task from the perspective of what I would think and feel, if I were a Penn State fan.

I know it won't sit well with some posters here...but I think they are right on at least one point.

Before you get upset with me, just think through things. Be fair-minded. They are right. We never wanted them in the Big Ten and we still don't.

Yes to the first point, but I'm sadly being forced to rethink the second.

The petty reason is that if they want out...we don't let them out. The more reasoned is driven by what just happened in the ACC yesterday. If our expansion road for lebensraum in the East is blocked, then for better or worse we need ped aggy. In fact that's one of the things that I find most troubling about yesterday is that it gives the pedsters--provided they can survive these sanctions with some semblance of a program left--a great deal of influence over the conference. They're the Eastern anchor of the network, and we have no options to replace them.

But we could take Cincinnati and lock down the Clermont County market.

Penn State?s backup kicker bolts, too

After the starting kicker missed four field goals and an extra point in a one-point loss to Virginia last weekend, one would think that the backup would be sitting on a prime piece of roster real estate.

Apparently, that line of thinking would be not exactly accurate.

With his name no longer appearing on the roster, the Centre Daily Times is reporting that kicker/punter Matt Marcincin has decided to leave the team due to personal reasons. Multiple media outlets subsequently confirmed the redshirt freshman?s departure, while the school later acknowledged the latest player to leave the football program.

Now that is funny.
