Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

A delusional nutjob...
I was referring to the football program. I truly believe that Bill O'Brien will have his day in the sun as the head football coach of Penn State University. I look forward to the night when Bill raises the National Championship Trophy over his head.
And a random non-PSU fan putting them in their place.
Denial ain't just a river in Africa.

It's the first stage of the grieving process and you're stuck in it. Most of your fellow Pervert State fans have moved on to anger.

There is no NC in your future. There is only losing. Most of you don't seem to comprehend how bad it is going to get. And none of you seem to understand why. You have no concept of the gravity of what happened at PSU, the scale of the damage that was done, or the pain that was inflicted on people. You're only worried about your stupid football team. You blame ESPN, the NCAA, Louis Freeh, the fans at other schools, your own BOT.....none of you ever blame the people who actually caused all this.
I haven't checked BWI for a while so I'm getting my fill now. Those nutjobs are crazier than ever.

Just a heads up, you'll want to be checking it Saturday at around 10am when they hold their protest rally. My gut tells me that the protestors facebook and twitter pages will be full of win that morning.

Fear not, Penn State sympathizers. PSU is confident that the sanctions will be reduced. Because every other sanctions they've ever handed down have been cut in half, just like this one......the punishment for the most horrific crime college sports has ever seen.....will be reduced.

Hasn't the NCAA already stated that the penalties are not subject to appeal? Do they expect the NCAA to then reduce the penalties out of the goodness of their hearts? Yeah, that sounds like the NCAA.

Edit: Just what I thought, the NCAA did say that the penalties are not subject to appeal. That means either Penn State believes the NCAA has a heart (or a recent lobotomy), or they are purposely lying to their current and prospective student-athletes in an effort to keep them around.

I seriously wonder how much money the paterno family payed him to turn that fluff piece in. What's the going rate on an author's dignity and credibility these days?

I doubt the Paternos paid a cent. Posnanski received an advance of $750,000, and he bought access by agreeing to donate an unspecified large chunk of that advance to the charity of Paterno's choosing. This was according to a post on Posnanski's blog, which he as apparently deleted.

Holy shit they are getting more and more delusional by the day.

Now, they should jump to the ACC which would AUTOMATICALLY make the ACC better than the B1G.

Penn State is a national program more so than Ohio State and Michigan (which apparently are only regional programs in their eyes, even though Michigan and Ohio State pull in national recruits at a higher rate than PSU which is usually filled with regional guys).

Penn State played better competition prior to joining the Big10.

Penn State's poor performance in the Big10 was due to internal factors, not because of playing stiff competiton such as Iowa, Michigan State, and Wisconsin every year..

You have to remember that in the eyes of the pedsters (and most of the east coast), 'national' = MA, NY, NJ, Eastern PA, DC plus (maybe) Delaware & Maryland.

So, that would explain why ESPiN insists upon broadcasting EVERY Yankees-Red Sox game, and why they had to have a nightly 30 minute report from Jets training camp this year?

They aren't subject to the appeals process but the consent decree states that the decree can be modified with the written consent of both parties. So I guess that if the NCAA and Penn State both agreed, they could modify the consent decree to allow for an appeals process or a reduction in the sanctions.

So a student at that [Mark May]hole finally says what we've all been hoping someone within the school would say publicly...and at least one mutant is already saying the guy should work for espin..

Believe it or not, it's actually a very well-written article :paranoid:

I liked the link to the crazy old man burning his diploma. Maybe they'll have a bonfire at the rally.

This rally could really amount to something. :groove2:
