Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Add one more genius to the ranks of Ped State...

General Ward, the former commander of Africom, is about to get popped for wasting nearly $1 Million in taxpayer money while he was in command. This includes allowing family members and other people fly in military planes, staying at super expensive hotels that do not use the government rate and other things. He could be prosecuted criminally too after the military charges are settled and his rank set for retirement.

He's a Penn State Master's graduate. Way to go ped State!! :shake:

BTW am I the only one who hates Joe Posnanski? Looking at the leaked excerpt from his book on Joe Pa, it looks like its gonna be a love fest of him and will try to make him sympathetic.

I really liked Posnanski... until he came out with his stubborn approach to his new book in the face of this scandal.

I'm surprised by the excerpts. He had previously indicated that he planned to whitewash this stuff to a far greater extent.

I understand that he went into the project looking to write an easy, fluffy 300-pg. Father's Day card that would lead him to a six-figure payday. It's gotta be tough to have an idea for a book like that and have it all fall apart at that stage. The way he responded to the situation before seemed rather disingenuous though.

It wouldn't surprise me if Paterno and his estate demanded complete editorial final approval as a prereq. for all that access.

Probably. The way that Scott and Jay have acted trying to protect the family name, etc. I'm just surprised by the way Posnanski has acted with this whole Joe situation. I'm sure his book will sell in State College, but I don't know how it will do nationally, if it is a fluff piece. I would hope for atleast a notation explaining that Paterno should have done more. This is if the Paternos don't get a hold of it first.

The article is insane enough, but the comments are hilarious. These have to be trolls............but then again?

What a breath of fresh air to finally read an article about Penn State football and not this alleged child abuse nonsense. I am so sick of these money grabbing alleged victims, enough already, in all honesty nobody cares about them and their pathetic lives. They need to crawl back into the whole in which they came from. The real victims in this whole farce are Joe Paterno, the Paterno family, and all the true Penn State alums, fans and supporters. Where is the sympathy and outpouring of affection and support from the media and BOT for these real victims. Anyway, at least football season is about to start and we can put this garbage behind us and focus on what is truly important, Penn State football. GO LIONS, WE ARE PENN STATE!

What makes me so mad is how everyone turned on Joe, saying he didn't look out for those tattle tale little kids. Joe always had the little guy in mind. Think about what we did for those small schools like Buffalo, Akron, etc that we always put on our schedule! Let Joe rest in peace

Yeah cause McQuery went from GA to under-qualified coach because he was lying about seeing the Tickle Monster in the shower.

So what did Siciliano have on JT? Bad joke, I know.

Brown says he has endured death threats, although he doesn?t take anything he sees on Twitter too seriously, and generally shrugs off criticism from strangers unhappy that he bailed on the Nittany Lions.

Just another piece of evidence to show your PSU friends their fan base has no reason to be holier than thou. They are like every other big fan base (unfortunately you see this crap on twitter).....
