Some long post as to why the emails were most likely untouched and true in form.

forget that whole line of thought. the time stamps, etc aren't the point anymore.

Go look at all the pictures I posted of the emails. They have been clearly altered using photoshop.

If the postal service is leading the investigation, then it would appear that this would have definitely predated the internet (or at least the widespread use of it) due to the transmission of the material involved...this could go back a long way and involve a lot of people...if it is true, of course.

CBS news is picking it up

U.S. Postal inspectors are leading a federal investigation into whether former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky shared child pornography with other individuals, CBS News has learned.

Analyzing a computer seized from Sandusky, investigators are also looking into whether he sent "seductive letters" across state lines for sexual purposes. Some of these letters were said to be sent to some of his sexual abuse victims.

The investigation, which was launched at the beginning of the year, is being carried out of the U.S. Postal Inspectors office in Harrisburg, Pa. and the U.S. Attorney Office of the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Yeah, I mean, so OK, if there was a ring, Paterno and almost certainly wasn't in it. I don't see anyone anywhere saying or suggesting he did anything to children. But what it won't have anything to do with is the coverup at PSU about what they knew about Sandusky and when, one way or the other, then. Those are separate issues, though the desperate need to exonerate Paterno at all costs will not allow it to be seen that way.
