Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Barkley has done better as a pro than I thought he would coming out of school. But, I surely wouldn't call him the best RB in the League, and certainly NOT the best player.
I expected he'd get 20 carries for about 40 yards and 1 or 2 carries for 50+ TDs......and I assumed those 50+ TDs would be few and far between. Somehow he's doing exactly that.....except he's doing the 50+ TDs consistently. So props for that, I guess. He still can't grind out a game like the other legit RBs in the league.

Wouldn't that be considered a side move? Except LA > Slappy Valley

But also - USC doesn't have "The Rail"

USC is infinitely higher on the CFB blue blood scale than Penn State

With Texas being back to being Texas and no other real west coast powers save maybe Oregon, the right guy could own the west for recruiting, play in a weak ass league and have all the resources and winning history you need to get USC back in the perennial CFP discussion. On top of that you have the better weather and crazy hot poon everywhere factor.

The con's are traffic sucks....BAD, you are expected to win at a very high level and you are going to get your balls taxed off by the state.

And I don't think any team is better positioned to take advantage of the pay-for-image/likeness changes coming in the next few years than USC.

Should be easier for him to interview for assistant coaching positions.

I'm thinking USC is not intimidated. They lead the overall series 13-10 (1 tie) and have won 7 of the last 8.
Last time we played them we pounded them pretty good. Should've won the home game in '09, too. During the 7-game losing streak to them sandwiched between our '74 Rose Bowl win and our '17 Cotton Bowl win, the first three games were in the Rose Bowl--a default home game for them--in which the games were decided by one, one, and three points. Now, we did get smashed the two times we did play in the Colosseum ('89, '08) but the '89 home game wasn't as bad and again we should've won the '09 home game. So, our last loss to them was a decade ago and both teams are markedly different than they were then. If we were to play against them in six straight seasons with the program as they are now and continuing on their current paths, we'd win all six. In fact, we'd fucking carpet bomb USC this year...
