You show little reverence for the Lambert Trophy.
I'm certain at some point I knew this little factoid. But I had to look it up...and now I have to share it with those of you who live outside the realm of football superiority that is "the East". The Lambert Trophy is awarded to the best team in the "East". The "East" is defined as New York, New Jersey, New England, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and DC. While the Big East was still a thing.....a team could be outside that football rich pool, and still win....if they were in the Big East, and won at least half their games against schools from those states.
Now, being from the east myself, some of you are going to claim I'm being a bit biased here. But I'll put New York, New England, Delaware, and Virginia up against Florida, Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia any day of the week. That just screams football production to me.
Also, your reigning Lambert Trophy champs took Michigan to OT this year. So even with the deck stacked that much in Penn State's favor.......
