My bad. I thought you meant last year....same game as the 4th&5. I always thought Franklin completely misused Barkley. Seemed like they would always hand him the ball 5 yds behind the line of scrimmage with him standing still. If they would have let him play to his natural abilities they would have been downright scary.

Maybe, but not like he hasn't suffered from same inconsistency w/Giants... good for 1 amazing run a game, and then 2.x ypc the rest of it. Maybe he gave up on Franklin and PSU... but always struck me as very selfish when the ball wasn't in his hands too. And it's not like he's a small guy... he's got freak size at the combine. Just doesn't use it.
This is the kind of play I remember. He just goes and stands in that hole for the entire duration. I suppose you could say he's sucked the LBs in... but 3/4 DLinmen have broke through and the extra blocker is AWOL.

Not only that but, had it been called “correctly” (or whatever you want to call it,) they would have won that game, not running away, but cruising at a not-elite level.

Absolutely. Changed the entire trajectory of the program. It really is a shame that the crooked B1G refs are so biased against them. Its hard enough to fight out of the enormous hole the NCAA put them in, but to have to do it against the officials at the same time, damn near impossible!
