OLD FOLK like me remember that OSU played at PSU in both 1994/1995. So, the odd/even cadence is back to what it was in the very first two years of the series.

Yep. I remember it well. The first game was the most humiliation I have ever felt at an OSU loss. I think it was 64-28 or something like that. Just brutal. Then they went back to State College the next year and won something like 28-24.

28-25. When we were kids, my dad's friends would always just randomly say "Penn State, really great." After that game, we'd finish it up with "twenty-five to twenty-eight." Worked again the next year....."seven points to thirty-eight."

It was 63-14. That's why I was so pissed back in 2013 when we were up 63-7 and Allen fucking Robinson ran 65 yards for a late TD.

That's ok. Urban did a really good job of pissing off the Cult when he challenged a spot and won in the 4th quarter. The pedsters thought they had a first down and it was overturned on review. The Bucks were up something like eleventybillion -7 at the time. That was good for at least 3 pages of crying over on BWI.

Plus doing it with 4th Q comebacks and beating them by 1 pt. both times REALLY ripped their hearts out. Jimmy Frank's 4th & 5 call last year was one of the most glorious boneheaded calls I've ever seen!

Then he said "hold my beer" to.... himself and went into the stands after a fan who called him out on it.

I've never seen Saban, Meyer or the right reverend Swinney do that as far as modeling oneself after actually elite programs goes.
