Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

I can't find the thread, anymore. But somewhere the guy whines about how if Penn State gets left out, it would be the biggest snub in all of sports history. (Or something like that.) Other people come up with 1968, 1969, 1973, 1994, and 2005 being bigger snubs.
I know about 1994 - they got bumped for Nebraska, and the "Big Ten Voters" (the Big Ten has never had any voters you dim-dumb-dorbs!!!) let it / made it happen.
2005 - I don't think this was a snub, really. They had 1 loss and USC and Texas were each undefeated. No Rose Bowl for you. They can and do whine about the officiating, but that's not a "snub" (right or wrong).
1969 - They had a great chance to play #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl. But Good ol' JoePa, who was this great man who hated racism, decided to play in the Orange Bowl. And then he whines because President Nixon picks Texas as the #1 team. I really like the story about how Paterno told Nixon to shove it. Of course, there's no proof of this... so.... it's still a great story!!!

But about 1968 and 1973? I know Ohio State was #1 in 1968, and Penn State was also undefeated. Snub? And 1973, I don't know who was #1. (Ohio State dropped after tying Michigan.) Snub?

You are missing the point.

Just like tsun, Penn State has never been defeated on the field of play. They have been cheated many, many, many times but never defeated. Therefore by extension, any season that ends without the world recognizing Penn states position as the only real #1 (and of course paying homage to the fact they do it better and cleaner than everyone else), was a snub.

Screwed and/or snubbed. Never beaten.
