The latest incarnation of the "Were you ever in the presence of Joesus?" thread is just gold. The Cult's favorite story this time around seems to be the heart-tugging tale of a random mortal who helped Joesus pick out a shirt at Saks Fifth Avenue-- and Joesus remembered the guy by name years later while thanking him for his assistance in shirt-selection. I wonder if Art was as skilled in helping with replacement trouser selection?

Art: Ran into Joe in the Men's Department of Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC and we discussed buying shirts (Sue must have been otherwise occupied) and the prospects for that year's team. Years later when I met him at a social gathering, he tugged on the shirt he was wearing and said "Art, this is one of the shirts you helped me buy."

Wasn't there a story going around about a road rage incident with JoePa? I don't remember the details, but just a bunch of yelling and "Don't you know who I am?" If there's any truth to that, I'd like to see that posted on that thread.

I got their recruiting updates for a couple years before I went in and unsubscribed. (It was an account I never check, so when I went over one day recently I had a few year's worth of mediocre recruit updates.)

No doubt about it. Keep in mind that we're talking about the same crew who has been known to list home address and phone numbers of officials/referees/BoT members/members of the media/lawyers/politicians/opposing coaches, etc......

I graduated HS in 1989 and I'm telling younger guys right now this is bull[Mark May].

We all did shower together after gym class and sports, coaches in there was rare and weird. It was bad enough with just the other guys your own age.

There was no fucking bear hugging, soaping up or horseplay.

I just checked and my old account is still banned even under the new system. I can't even view the forums until I log out.
