Lee,
When Jerry Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse in 2012, the town of State College, Pennsylvania, struggled to answer the impossible question: How could no one have known? As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Darkness to Light held a screening of Happy Valley on Thursday, April 16, in Charleston, South Carolina. This award-winning documentary features Matt Sandusky, our friend and founder of Peaceful Hearts Foundation, who bravely shared his story of abuse by his adoptive father. The screening and panel discussion that followed were such a huge success that we are asking our network of advocates across the country to hold viewings of their own.
The above video, featuring survivor Guerry Glover, provided our closing thought for the evening – if we can prevent the sexual abuse of just one child, that’s huge. By sharing the Happy Valleydocumentary with those close to you, you will be playing a vital role in raising awareness and starting a discussion that will lead to a ripple effect of child sexual abuse prevention.
Will you join us in using this film to encourage deeper conversation about child sexual abuse?
You can rent the documentary online at iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, or YouTube for as little as $3.99.

Ending child sexual abuse starts with talking about it. Thanks for being part of the conversation.

I live in Charleston SC and receive emails from Darkness to Light. I was unable to attach the youtube video from Mr. Glover. I'm sure the documentary will be well received by Cult.
