Penn State Cult (Joe Knew)

Lee,

When Jerry Sandusky was convicted of 45 counts of child sexual abuse in 2012, the town of State College, Pennsylvania, struggled to answer the impossible question: How could no one have known? As part of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Darkness to Light held a screening of Happy Valley on Thursday, April 16, in Charleston, South Carolina. This award-winning documentary features Matt Sandusky, our friend and founder of Peaceful Hearts Foundation, who bravely shared his story of abuse by his adoptive father. The screening and panel discussion that followed were such a huge success that we are asking our network of advocates across the country to hold viewings of their own.

The above video, featuring survivor Guerry Glover, provided our closing thought for the evening – if we can prevent the sexual abuse of just one child, that’s huge. By sharing the Happy Valleydocumentary with those close to you, you will be playing a vital role in raising awareness and starting a discussion that will lead to a ripple effect of child sexual abuse prevention.

Will you join us in using this film to encourage deeper conversation about child sexual abuse?

You can rent the documentary online at iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, or YouTube for as little as $3.99.

Click here for our discussion guide that you can use to accompany the film.

Ending child sexual abuse starts with talking about it. Thanks for being part of the conversation.

Cindy McElhinney
Director of Programs, Darkness to Light

I live in Charleston SC and receive emails from Darkness to Light. I was unable to attach the youtube video from Mr. Glover. I'm sure the documentary will be well received by Cult.

The "Happy Valley" documentary has been out for a while, although it does not seen to have been widely shown. The Cult's reaction to "Happy Valley" was what you would expect it to be. Whenever the "Happy Valley" documentary is referenced on BWI, it usually leads to a rant about what a liar Matt Sandusky is.

This thread is pretty fun.

http://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/way-before-the-sanctions.11220/

There are a few quote-worthy posts. But I'll just post one:

I'm trying to remember who had the most big ten titles from 2005 to 2011? It wasn't osu, those were vacated for legitimate violations. Which team was 2 plays away from playing for 2 national championships? Which team had the top recruiting class coming in that was decimated when osu hired Meyer and PSU hired no one? All these things escape my feeble memory.

2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 were all vacated?
Also, I guess I forget 2008 - they were only one play away from a championship?
Edit - Iowa kicked a FG to win with :01 remaining.

I am so thankful that we have a coach who will not take his foot off the gas against these assclowns. I hope he has Cardale in there slinging for the endzone up 40 in the 4th.

assuming Cardale is the starter, that's just rude. How can you do that to JT? I want to see a lot of passes late in the game for the third qb to see the field.

It's threads like this one that makes me wonder which boosters supported (and even helped) with the false narrative of the GJP and the decisions by the BOT. Money talks and there were (are) enough anti-Paterno people out there - even within the Penn State family.

Can't help but speculate that were Penn State Boosters who vehemently wanted to cut ties with anything Paterno. To many, just the idea that Jay Paterno would be Head Coach would make them nauseated.

I have my reasons to suspect that there are some Penn State boosters operating behind the scenes partly responsible for this false narrative SOLEY to move Penn State Football in a new direction (i.e., a break from the past)

Does anybody have any idea where these nutjobs came up with the story that Larry Johnson Sr. "Advised" Deon Barnes to leave early for the draft?
They have several cult members that swear it's true but can't say where they got the information. I first saw the allegation last winter when the kid declared for the draft, but have never been able to find any article or story that mentions it.
They are arguing among themselves about it, some claiming that it should be a violation, while others are asking for confirmation.
The cannibalism is getting pretty humorous since the kid didn't get drafted, but signed with the Jets as an UFA.

Wrong thread to talk about this, but whoever is the starter/back-up/back-up's back-up - it's all rude. So say Miller is the starter. Halfway through the third quarter, you take out the two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, to put in the guy who has the Big Ten record for touchdowns in a season. Then, with 8 minutes to go in the game, you take him out to put in a guy who has 3 starts, and 3 trophy presentations. Or some other combination of those three. I agree with ORD - I hope we're up 63-14, and make the cult complain about more passes, en route to a 77-14 win.

Reminds me of the referee who told some Penn State player, "You're just lucky to be playing football, right now," when he was complaining about a no penalty call. Most believe the story, though few agree on the details. Most think it was McGloin, but I've heard other thoughts. Other details are inconsistent, too (opponent, situation, etc.).

 This is how stupid these people are.

If indeed Johnson gave him advice would that be an infraction?
Say he gives Barnes advice and says something like take care of your body for draft, would that be game tampering? i.e. Barnes plays without intensity against OSU.
They actually believe shit like this is why they lose games.

Holy ****. Cult media whore John Ziegler gets in a Facebook pissing contest with Sandusky "victim" (or whatever you call it) Aaron Fisher while claiming Fisher backed out of a meeting with Ziegler. Ziegler refers to Fisher as a "phony" and a "coward" while Fisher repeatedly tells Ziegler to leave him alone and stop harassing him. The transcript of the Ziegler-Fisher exchange is amazing in a sick, pathetic way. :frown:

http://framingpaterno.com/aaron-fis...me-then-backs-down-during-epic-facebook-conve

Ziegler then goes on BWI and starts a thread to attention whore his exchange with Fisher. Various Pedsters defend Jerry showering with kids. ("Not even sure it's a crime," reasons Nit74,) (... showering with children was not a crime in the recent past. Coaches used to do it regularly after practices with their team," explains PSU-Knocker.)

BWI fave 9FOLD gets pissed off and corrects some poor bastard saying that Jerry was convicted on 47 counts. "45, asshole," 9FOLD angrily corrects.

Even by BWI standards, this thread is gold.

Yep, 3s and 4s who haven't been able to get on the field because the 1s and 2s are too good... oh, and make it happen in Happy Valley. Then fill the Good Year blimp with piss and drop it on the Blue Band.

Geeez, I'm in a vindictive mood this morning. Must be Monday or something.

The new format over there is letting a few of the sane people who do post and question the cultists be viewed.

Then there is this gem:
I'm not here to defend sandusky, but I'm guessing that you are fairly young and of a different generational understanding than some others on this board or least me, becaue I don't think you realize that is was not uncommon at all for young boys and grown men to use showering facilities together. When I was in high school in the 80's the coaches and players used the same shower in the lockerroom and would use it at the same time after practice -...............

Ummm, no

I graduated HS in 1989 and I'm telling younger guys right now this is bullshit.

We all did shower together after gym class and sports, coaches in there was rare and weird. It was bad enough with just the other guys your own age.

There was no fucking bear hugging, soaping up or horseplay.
Some one would have fucking died.
