Penn State at tOSU, Sat. 10/21, 12pm EST, FOX

I'm not sure about you guys but it feels great being proud of an Ohio State defense again. Best defensive performance since 2019.

Keep it up and bring the fucking heat on November 25.
Oh fuck yes. And for me I love having great defense because I really think it changes the environment in the stadium. I think the crowd gets into it and you can just make noise and be disruptive, where cheering for offense is an ebb and flow thing

It was late in the game, I forget exactly when, but the Nitty Kitties had a 3rd down. The camera briefly showed the scoreboard, which was showing the crowd noise. It was 95-96 decibels. That's pretty loud.

I'm not going to aim at my longtime Buckeye fan here....but Knowles called legit the best defense I've ever seen here. Players get the tip of the cap and I'll get there... but holy shit, Knowles gets the game ball and anyone talking shit on him can show themselves out. Every time PSU tried something different, we were in position to stop it.

So that said...Go Jim Knowles!

Urban always said that the QB was only as good as the players around him. Allar doesn’t have near the players around him that McCord does.

Penn State's Drew Allar takes blame as offense flops vs. Ohio State

With tears welling up and his eye black smudged all over his face, Penn State quarterback Drew Allar solemnly did his best Saturday to digest it all after Ohio State did what it seemingly always does to the Nittany Lions.

The misery of losing to the Buckeyes for the 11th time in their past 12 meetings was only compounded by Penn State having gone belly-up offensively, wasting a staunch defensive performance in a 20-12 loss at Ohio Stadium.

"Sucked," Allar said when asked about his performance.

Just sayin':
1) Penn State's team isn't "chopped liver". They have had some half way decent recruiting classes the last few years: however, definitely not quite as good as Ohio State's though. Per 24/7 Sports:

2020: #15 vs #4 for OSU
2021: #21 vs #2 for OSU
2022: #6 vs #4 for OSU
2023: #15 vs #4 for OSU

2) Allar just threw a lot of bad passes today, and that was on him. I give him a lot of credit for "manning up" and taking the blame too.

He had a freshman (Matthews) switching positions on the fly between corner and nickel depending on the situation, and the kid balled out. That's great coaching. He even mentioned it in the press conference.
