Penn State at tOSU, Oct 30th, 7:30 PM, ABC

Wasn’t the total shut down game I wanted from the defense but they grew a little this game. Forced some critical stops and TOs.

Offense felt like it needed a half to adjust to playing a team with close to their talent. Even still it was discombobulated as fuck but made plays when they needed to.
Losing Chambers was a tremendous blow. I dont think Mitchell plays the zone coverage very well yet and it cost us some big drives.
We could complain about the egregious holding but honestly, if the Offense puts the ball in the endzone that pressure would have caused PSU's Offense more trouble than we were putting on them Defensively.

Pretty sure it's an auto first down. I think they blew it.

yeah…the NCAA rule book says defensive holding is an auto first down.

I’m still so confused by that sequence. I thought Day was gonna kill ref. Refs blew that sequence so horribly bad. Should’ve been 1st and goal. Day was irate when he found out he was behind schedule bc they messed up the proper down.

Surprisingly, it's mostly positive. But this one was funny:

Refs screw us of potentially 21 pts. Center infraction fumble, incomplete pass, and forced out TD

Ha. The center never had the ball. Arguing that is funny.
The incomplete pass - I think I'd call a delay of game on Penn State for running away with the ball. It was obviously an incomplete pass. That was just a stupid thing for Penn State to think was a fumble. Or maybe I'm thinking of the wrong play.
And the "forced-out" touchdown. Ugh. He wouldn't have forced out my 9-year-old daughter with that move. Man up.

Also, the "late hit" on the Penn State player - that was just as much a targeting hit as Chambers's hit was. FFS.

Also also, isn't defensive holding supposed to be an automatic first down?

I’m a lapsed Catholic who would consider myself agnostic. But keep trying to paint people into boxes, asshole.

Go enjoy both yourselves. This is a place for buckeye football. Nothing else.

The OL needs a firm chewing out. Will any of them be graded out as champions? I couldn’t name anyone.

I mentioned in the Indiana game thread, after Garrett Wilson dropped a pass he should’ve caught, that I’d heard on the radio that one dropped pass that should’ve been caught means you don’t get graded out as a champion. Brian Hartline has a standard. Sure enough, Wilson wasn’t graded out as a champion for the IU game. From what I saw tonight, I expect he will be.

If I was a coach, no one on the OL would be graded out a champion this week.
