Zurp, the refs could call holding on every play against every team. Not entirely certain which ones they call versus the ones they choose to ignore. If you watch the line play, on the 'off the ball side', the OL look like they're holding their dance partner close, but since the play's going the other way, most eyeballs are watching the ball carrier...or so I opine. PS, believe they do a creditable job, for something that is a bang-bang occurrence. Anyway, far better than the zerbras calling the WNBA...

That's a cop out. It's very rare that every play has a holding penalty somewhere, especially if we're going by the letter of the law.

Do the refs miss some? Yes. Do they call some that really aren't there? Also yes.

Dave Biddle as an example but he's obviously not the only one. I'm a 49ers fan and they have one media member who goes to every practice and talks to all the coaches and is always talking about which way he bet.
