Reporting Sandusky early on would have tarnished their program, but hiding things has only resulted in its total destruction. I would be surprised if they really recover from this inside 6 or 7 years.

I don't know if they will ever recover partly because they were never as good in reality as the image suggested. JoePed and his image was all they had. By the time they are at full strength again tOSU, Pitt, etc will have taken over their recruiting grounds and they'll be 2 or 3 really good coaches away from competing.

I think they'll be completely down for 10 years and then might be able to challenge for a B1G title once a decade at most. I'd gladly trade PSU to the ACC for UVA right now. Probably be better for everyone involved since it would be easier to rebuild in a shitty conference.
