I can't watch the game on TV, but CBS Sportsline says ND has had 26 penalties (168 yards), is that for real? According to the same stats they only have 86 net yards,so with penalties they are -82
it seems like there is a flag thrown every other play. both teams have been penalty-happy in the second half.

it's inept offense versus inept offense.

Covered the spread!

The most important part of all :)

CBS Sportsline says ND is up to 198 penalty yards, and has finally broken the -100 yard threshold when you subtract them from total yards :)

I expected them to be bad, but not this bad

Holy crap, ND's receiving core this year is no good, we're missing the Shark and McKnight. Clausen threw 2 back to back, very catchable, TD passes. Neither were deflected, both were bobbled and dropped. Considering Clausen has been playing in hostile territory for his first start, hes done well. Weis wanted to warm him up using short gains through most of the game, he did what he could with that. They're starting to throw the ball downfield now, they're actually moving the chains finally, receivers are dropping the ball in the endzone. O-line is getting beaten, the manchild Sam Young has been doing a good job of getting beaten.

Well, good to know that it only takes Claussen 3.5 quarters to warm up, I knew he was an old freshman, but I didn't think he was 60

I've been impressed by Clausen (not there yet, but great potential), but I don't have to like him. I also think Weis did a good job limiting the destruction that PSU could bring.

1st throw: no touch. Catchable... if your name is Anthony Gonzalez and/or you play in the NFL.
2nd throw: too high.

They weren't bad throws, but I don't think you can throw all the blame at the receivers on that one. Goes both ways.
