It has to be perplexing if you are an ND fan.

Hell, it is perplexing if you are simply a football fan.

Question, was Quinn simply hypnotized last year? I ask for it seems he is chucking it up, instead of passing the ball. (Wasn't Weis meant to continue his grooming of the golden boy? Seems not.)

he was chucking it up last year... every highlight reel you watch shows his receivers making one incredible catch after another... even the long pass last week that sealed the deal against GT was a ridiculous adjustment on an off target ball by Smrjzchjwhatever...

As I tally things using 5-bar gates we have

Missed Interceptions by State Penn : II
Fumbled Snaps : I (on the FG)
Fumbles : I
Bad Decisions in Passing by Morelli : I

Either of the two interceptions take 3 resulting points of the board.
ND is NOT impressive thus far. Only State Penn's own implosions and lack of alacrity in reeling in turnover opportunities is keeping the Irish healthy in this game.

(BTW, had to change plans, so I am not watching this in the stands).

You might want to reconsider.

Penn State getting pushed around, Iowa playing like Kent State... by the time they kick off in Austin we'll need to win to stay in the top ten. There goes the visibility/importance of two of our conference games. Conference strength = better rankings.

Posluszny looks horrible out there. He's getting blown off the ball on running plays, and ND's not even double teaming him. He's been beaten on several pass plays to the TE down the field. Finally, he's not an impact player--no sacks, no INTs or pass breakups, no TFLs--rather, all of his tackles are 5-8 yards down the field in his zone. NO WAY is he the best LB in the nation. No way.
