From what I recall, it wasn't much of a battle as much as he was content to go to Toledo (EDIT: Nope it was Valpo) and then Ohio State offered him and that was more or less that.

I'm not going to sit here and guarantee a Title. I think the Buckeyes will struggle at some point. When they play at, or even close to, their potential, the Buckeyes can run anyone out of the gym. But for a variety of reasons, I could see the Buckeyes coming up short.
