-The atmosphere was awesome, if it's like that every game I don't understand why I hear complaints about the intensity in the Schott.

I've only been to the Minnesota and Penn State games this season, but compared to the past 5 when I've been to every game except for maybe 5, the atmosphere was much, much better for the two games this year than it was for similar games in year's past. I'd attribute a large part of it to the relocation of the student section, but it also helps having a top-5 team.

Also, the marketing people seem to be doing a better job filling the arena. I can only think of a handful of sellouts over the last 5 years, but they sold out a game against PSU this year?! Definitely doing something better to get people to come out to the games. I still would like to see the crowd, in general, get more involved. Make noise on big defensive possessions, that kind of stuff.

-Why was the section above the student section covered up?

My thinking was that it allows the students to stand all game without forcing everyone else in the lower bowl to stand, too.
