To: Larry Coker

Dear Lawrence Coker,
We are very grateful for all of the contributions you have made to the football program.
You have given us nearly a decade of your life, and we have been through a lot.
We are very appreciative of the national championship you were on board for in 01, and we will never forget that you actually won the national title in 02, if even for a few seconds.

All that being said, the program has seriously declined since your first two seasons. The problems are too numerous to list.

We ask you, with all respect to you as a man and to your family, to step down from the head coaching position and allow the university to bring in someone with a fresh perspective.

Thank you very much for your service, and good luck.

Signed,
Sincerely,
The Undersigned

How pathetic is this??? Notice the section I highlighted, they still believe they won the national championship in '02. Maybe the Scum and Scum South boards can get together and cry in their beers.

Yippee!! - Al Gore Invented cokermustgo.com!!

Now all the weaponry is in place, no sly unforgiving weasel of an AD or University President will stop the 'Cane "Faithful" (I use the term advisedly).

For now we have this monstrous barrage against the evil that hides in the hearts of "The U"

http://www.cokermustgo.com/

And I quote

About this Site: This site was started after the Peach Bowl on December 30th, 2005, but the problems have been brewing since Coker has taken the head coaching job in 2001. His problems were first noticed in the 2002 season when we were having problems putting our opponents away. The purspose (sic) of this site is simply to raise awareness as well as to compose an organized effort of fans, former players, coaches, and anybody who feels the same as we do, that Larry Coker is in way over his head as the Head Coach of the University of Miami Football program.
Well, I'm sure that'll really take care of their problem. :tongue2:

What is the longest that a board meltdown has lasted - these folks are still in high gear. :tongue2:

Another humorous thread is one in which the writer opines the underlying cause of their huge loss in Atlanta was that Coker took all the thug U boys to see "Brokeback Mountain" the Thursday before the game ... LINK

Miami Herald is reporting that several assistant coaches are thrown under the bus, but that Coker retains his position. A news conference is scheduled for noon -yeah, everyone will tune in instead of watching bowl games (not).

At least 4 coaches fired.

UM fires at least four football coaches

By SUSAN MILLER DEGNAN

[email protected]

<!-- begin body-content --> The University of Miami fired at least four of its assistant football coaches Monday morning, three days after Louisiana State embarrassed the Hurricanes 40-3 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
Gone are two of its most entrenched leaders, The Miami Herald has learned: Assistant head coach Art Kehoe, who also served as offensive line coach and played at Miami; and running backs coach Don Soldinger.
Also gone: offensive coordinator Dan Werner and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves.
Head coach Larry Coker and senior associate athletic director Pete Garcia delivered the news to the coaches. It was unknown as of 9:30 a.m. if anyone else was fired.
''I got fired. I wish I didn't, but I did,'' Kehoe said. ``I have to move on with my life and take care of my family now.
``I am eternally grateful to the University of Miami for giving me one of the greatest lives you could ever have in college football. We won more games, more national titles, more bowl games, more big games.. When you think about it, I owe everything to this school.
