Patriots(-5.5) at Colts

You realize the Pats played their backups a good chunk of the game? You realize the Pats just dropped 52 on the Redskins? You realize the Colts are fucking overrated as shit?

I think the Colts are still a top five team in the NFL. I also think in the last 2 games the Colts have played NE, Brady has been picked 5 times... and NE's defense has been giving up too many points to middling teams to be claiming much better despite their big names.

It's too easy coming from a Michigan fan, so I won't even say it

But I will ask you if you realize how many other teams in the NFL would absolutely LOVE to be as "overrated" as the Colts are right now??

You realize the pats barely beat the fins by 21?

They only beat the Browns by 17 and it should have been less than that if Winslow doesn't fumble deep in their own side of the field and have it returned for a touchdown. And as said before, they only beat Miami by 10. I can see Indy winning this game, but probably not, I say Pats by 4.

For sure, they're still a top 5 team. The NFL is heavily watered down IMO, so elite teams that manage to stay elite for so long do deserve some respect. Yes, the Colts are elite, but I think they're probably the third best team in the league behind the Patriots and Steelers. The Steelers may not be as talented as the Colts, but they play a much more physical style, which works well when playing the Colts. (See Law, Ty making Harrison, Marvin his bitch)

Huh?

Sorry, the Colts are better than the Steelers, the Steelers are really improved this year but that Monday night game against Denver showed me how easily Big Ben is rattled and until that problem goes away any team with a good pass rush is going to knock the hell out of them.

And before you say Denver is tough at home remember the Chargers put a 41-3 beat down on them at home, and two other teams (Jacksonville and Green Bay) have all taken them down on their home turf.

It's a good thing I also threw in this quote "The Steelers may not be as talented as the Colts, but they play a much more physical style, which works well when playing the Colts." If the Steelers played the Colts this year, I'd take the Steelers.

So you like throwing away money?

No, but when a soft team plays a physical team, I tend to go with the physical team.

I think there are many nfl teams who woudl say the colts are not soft. And even if they are "soft" when you have an offense like they do you are going to win most of their games.

I feel as if the Pats gave them the game last year. Peyton Manning is a notorious big game choker who had no business winning the SB MVP last year, benefiting from a superb game from his 2 RBs. He's a really good QB, but the fact is, people have given him the nod ahead of Brady forever because essentially of his superior wideouts, great OL and great running game. Look at Brady now, he got himself some receivers to play with and a sweet 15:1 TD/INT ratio.

Tony Dungy is wildly overrated as a coach. He can't hold BB's jock. I have very little tolerance for receivers who refuse to go over the middle (I'm looking at you, Marvin Harrison). I'm also having a hard time believing the Colts D is good all of a sudden, because honestly, they haven't played a good offense in God knows how long.

Look at when the D got good....Who did they beat?
Chiefs (No wideouts/QB)
Ravens (Sick D, no O)
Pats (They gave up a lot of points)
Bears (Grossman rocks!)
Then a bunch of zeroes this year.

I want to see them beat the juggernaut O that is the Pats. I love Marlin Jackson, but he's going to get himself a new asshole this weekend after Randy Moss is through with him. I don't see the Colts having the D personnel to contain the Pats.

Easy there. The Pats are a damn fine team, and possibily one of the best of all time - but if they beat the Colts on Sunday, trust me when I say it's more indicative of the Patriots' greatness than of the Colts being overrated.

And I'm picking the Pats because their defense is more likely to frustrate Manning than the Colts are to get pressure on Brady.

That said, I'll be cheering for the Colts. I think most people will be cheering for the Colts. They have a team full of class acts, all the way up to the top with their coach - the same cannot be said about Bill Belichick and his Patriots. The Colts even have a more classy Buckeye in Anthony Gonzalez than that cheap-shot artist Mike Vrabel.

I disagree, but we'll see what happens when the playoffs come around. I don't see the Colts as soft, but they have that rap every year.
