That's what it likely is, you don't rock the boat with recruiting before NSD making coaching changes after an 11-1 season. I would imagine (and hope) that behind the curtain Fleming is looking for other jobs and we are looking for someone else.
Haha that is fair. My view is that we want to win this bowl game and firing a coach right now won't help achieve that. But one second after the clock ticks out 12/29/23, I would argue that is the right time.
I agree we probably couldn't do much worse, but unless our coaches have been grooming someone else to do the job, it could get worse. Put "could" in italics because I doubt it, but at this point I don't think there is much utility to firing him before 12/29 unless we just want to feel better. Now if you tell me Lil Animal can coach some special teams, I will be onboard immediately.

I've been lead to believe that few teams even have a dedicated ST coach. Why do we need one, when he's a detriment to the team? You don't need a coordinator to know how to punt or when to kick a FG. It's not like firing the LB coach.
