Parenting Mistake in Action

Yeah, I blew one tonight. I told my older son he could stay up as late as he wanted tonight. He has been asking for weeks to stay up until morning. I figured he would pass out by 10:30. He is still going strong and I am exhausted from packing and moving crap all over the place today.

Stupid Me! :smash: :smash: :smash:

Better get started...

Make him run or do something active with you. This is too funny. . .

(edit: too late. At least you weren't up to late. . .)

I thought I wore him out with the packing earlier today. He was helping me carry stuff up from the basement and even took a load of stuff to Goodwill. The constant theme I heard when he was helping me was "This is heavy." Being the son of a stubborn person he refused any help. I think he was just so excited to stay up he did his best to really try and make it to morning. Technically, he almost did as he was out at 11:45 P.

In all seriousness, I think you have a good son on your hands. He'll be a good man. . .

Yeah, they both are keepers. They have both been stressed because of the move. We have had some sort of viral thing floating around the house the last couple of weeks. His little brother was sick with it last week and older brother offered him something. I thanked big bro and he told me he does not like to see people sick. I said that was nice and he informed me he wants to be a doctor so he can help people.

Thanks. Younger bro is a tornado on two legs. Whenever my wife stops by work my coworkers just laugh at him as he runs up and down the hall and stops to talk to everyone. They were at the Post Office a few weeks ago and he was being busy (all over the place). He said Thank You when the person behind the counter gave him a sticker. The person commented to my wife that we must be doing something right.
